Maker App Smash: Google Drawings and Tinkercad

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Google Drawings is a user friendly canvas for brainstorming, designing and customizing visual ideas. Turn your two dimensional ideas into three-dimensional designs by importing your custom Google Drawings into Tinkercad, a free 3D modeling program. We will also explore introductory design workflows vital to most maker projects such as 3D printing.

Attendees will import custom google drawings into Tinkercad and learn how to manipulate the file into a 3D model.

Attendees will learn advanced drawing and formatting functions in Google Drawings. They will also learn how to properly download and import Drawings files and use them in Tinkercad and troubleshoot common issues. Finally, users new to Tinkercad will learn basic shape and transformation functions to create a file suitable for 3D printing.
